Most of the information about the upcoming Oppo Reno 5 series is pretty out in the open at this point. Just after two models belonging to the “Reno 5 series” appeared on TENAA, a new set of the leak has provided us with more information about the upcoming series. The Reno 5 series will arrive with three distinct chipsets.
Based on the information shared by a reputable leakster Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the upcoming Oppo Reno 5 series will pack in three chipsets. It includes Snapdragon 875 (SM8250), MediaTek Dimensity 1000 (mt6884), and Snapdragon 765G 5G (SM7250). It is perhaps unknown which chipset will be picked by which model under the Reno 5 branding.

Oppo Reno 5 Series Specifications
Earlier this month, a listing on TENAA revealed two model numbers – PEGT00 and PEGM00. It gave information that both will have a 65W fast charging tech. The listing stated that the phone (in question) sorts a flat display. This means it is likely the standard Reno 5. Further, the device is said to pack in a 6.43-inch AMOLED FHD+ display. It is flanked by an octa-core SoC clocked at 2.4GHz. It will arrive with an 8/12GB RAM and128/256GB of storage configurations. Apparently, the report also confirms a flat display as aforementioned.
The Reno 5 Pro will likely pack in a curved front display given the fact that its predecessors Reno 3 Pro & Reno 4 Pro had it. That goes without saying if all goes as per the usual curve that Oppo follows with its Reno series launches.

Next up, the phone will pack in a quad-camera setup which includes a 64MP+8MP+2MP+2MP matrix camera setup. The front, on the other hand, sports a 32MP sensor housed in a punch-hole as hinted by the Weibo post. The Reno 5 series will also have a high refresh rate although the report doesn’t mention if it is referring to 90Hz or 120Hz or more.
Another bit of detail that we know for sure is that the upcoming Reno 5 series will arrive with Android 11. A 4,300 mAh battery will act as a power source at least of the standard variant with a weight of 172grams. Oppo Reno 5 Series is likely to arrive between December 2020 and January 2021 although the exact date remains unavailable at the time of writing this.

How Does Google’s Tree Canopy Lab Work
It’s a well-known fact that trees clean the environment and provide shade to people and other things in the vicinity. The roadside trees protect buildings from direct sunlight, thereby reducing more heat to trap. Moreover, the evaporation process lowers the temperatures in the surrounding area. Thus, the tree plantation in urban areas can significantly cool the cities. So to identify places for tree plantation, Google’s new tool detects trees in urban areas by using the power of AI and aerial photography.

According to Google, the company will collect aerial imagery from planes during the spring, summer, and fall seasons. After this, it’ll combine its AI and Google Earth data to “pinpoint all the trees in a city and measure their density.” The tech giant says that it’ll first start from the city of Los Angeles.
In addition to this, the tool will use near-infrared photos to detect various colors and compare images from different angles to create a height map. After this, Google uses a specialized tree detection AI that scans all the images to detect the presence of trees. The AI then creates a map that shows the density of tree cover in that area.
OnePlus launched the latest OnePlus Nord N100 and Nord N10 5G just a few days ago. Nord N100 is advertised as a phone with a 60Hz refresh rate while N10 5G sports a 90Hz refresh rate. However, turns out the Nord N100 sports a 90Hz refresh rate display as well.
Apparently, users in the UK where Nord N100 is available, have reported that their unit has 90Hz settings as well. Though it depends on applications used, settings, and processing limitations, getting a 90Hz refresh rate is a major plus for Nord N100 users.
The Chinese smartphone maker advertised Nord N100 with a 60Hz display. However, it is able to scale all the way to 90Hz as the phone is able to pull it off. Perhaps it is because of the underlying specifications that don’t allow the system to consistently exercise a high refresh rate. This was something OnePlus admitted the same in a recent statement it made available online.

According to a theory coined by Android Authority, OnePlus could either brand and promote Nord N100 with a “Fluid Display”. This would affect the company’s branding when users complain about it. Or promote the phone as with a standard 60Hz display where the latter holds much credibility.
OnePlus Nord N100 sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 40 SoC on-board along with 4GB RAM, an Adreno 610 GPU. The display is a 6.52-inch HD+ IPS LCD with 720×1600 pixels resolution. Although otherwise advertised, the OnePlus Nord N100 has settings to switch between 60Hz and 90Hz although it is applicable to some apps and not all.
Nord N100 offers a 13+2+2MP triple camera setup at the back along with an 8MP front camera. It has a huge 5,000 mAh battery paired alongside 18W fast charging tech. It runs on Android 10-based OxygenOS 10.5 out-of-the-box. The phone is almost a rebranded Oppo A53 which is from OnePlus’ sister company Oppo.
Facebook has announced that it is rolling out a new chat experience for Messenger and Instagram featuring animated BTS character TinyTAN. Starting November 18, users can access and activate the TinyTAN chat theme for a unique chat experience on Messenger and private messaging on Instagram. You can now set up a Room and use immersive 360 AR backgrounds to explore the bedroom and cafe from the TinyTAN universe. By moving your camera around, you can find all seven TinyTAN characters.
You can set up these rooms on both Messenger and Instagram when video-calling with other users. Other users who are familiar with the “Magic Door” of TinyTAN will recognize the bedroom and cafe backgrounds in the video call.
How to Use TinyTAN Chat Experience

As the new chat feature is released for both Messenger and Instagram messaging platforms, there is a slight difference in the way you use them. On Messenger, Facebook will integrate TinyTAN into the messaging platform with its sticker pack. You can just download the special TinyTAN sticker pack to use it for expressing yourself. Notably, these stickers will be free to use for all users. Moreover, there is a TinyTAN chat theme for both the messaging platforms of Facebook — the Facebook Messenger and the new Instagram Messenger.
To use the TinyTAN chat theme on respective messengers, you can activate it by going to your chat settings and then tap Theme to select TinyTAN. For TinyTAN 360 backgrounds, you need to create a Room on the respective messenger and then tap the “Effects” button. Next, select the TinyTAN background from the options on your screen. Messenger users can also access these backgrounds from the video call or the camera.
