Xiaomi GM confirms Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G with Snapdragon 750G SoC

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 series is all set to launch on November 26. It includes three models i.e. the Redmi Note 9 4G, Redmi Note 9 5G, and Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G. Apparently, thanks to the many reports, we already know a lot about Redmi Note 9. Talking about Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G, there are abundant reports too but a recent update coming from LU Weibing, General Manager at Redmi, puts a nail to the coffin when it comes to the processor.

Lu confirmed that the upcoming Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G processor. To put things into perspective, Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G resembles a lot to Mi 10T Lite based on the previous specifications leak.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G has appeared on a Geekbench listing as well running on Snapdragon 750G. Lu further confirmed that the phone will sport 5th-gen Qualcomm Artificial Intelligence Engine which churns up to 4 TOPS. It perhaps is a rebranded version of Mi 10T Lite as aforementioned.

Talking about the specs that we know so far, the device will bring on-board a 6.67-inch LCD panel with 8GB RAM under the hood. A 108MP quad-camera setup will be christened on the back panel. The device will have a 4,820 mAh battery along with a 33W fast charging tech on-board.

The device will have a 120Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. It sports a single punch-hole cut-out housing the front camera. That’s pretty much all we know about the Pro variant. The standard Redmi Note 9 5G offers a MediaTek 800U processor. It sports a 6.53-inch display with a punch-hole cut-out on the top-left corner. A 48MP triple camera setup sits on-board at the back while a 13MP sensor takes the front punch-hole. As said, it will have a 4G and a 5G variant to go with.

We shall wait till November 26 to get a clear picture of the specifications that both the devices will bring to the table.
