Top-tier Redmi Note 9 Pro spotted on Geekbench with Snapdragon 750G

The next-gen Xiaomi device is scheduled to launch on November 26. We are talking about the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 series that will be unveiled in China. To put things into perspective, we already have the Redmi Note 9 series in India but this series is headed to China. The Redmi Note 9 series of devices is expected to arrive with three versions i.e. Redmi Note 9, Redmi Note 9 Pro, and Redmi Note 9S. Apparently, the highest among the trio just made it to a Geekbench listing.

According to the listing, the said device with model number M2007J17C sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G octa-core processor clocked at 1.80GHz base frequency. The device managed to score a whopping 645 points on single-core and 1963 points on multi-core test on Geekbench 5.2.5. This puts it in-line with the already launched Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite. However, we will have to wait & see how similar these two devices are actually.

An official statement from Xiaomi hinted at three models under the Redmi Note 9 Series. Apparently, a report hints that the trio will be Redmi Note 9 4G, Redmi Note 9 5G, and REdmi Note 9 Pro 5G. This excludes the possibility of a Redmi Note 9S.

Talking about the specifications, the base Redmi Note 9 sports a 6.53” 2400×1080 pixels resolution. A single punch-hole cut-out on the top-left corner will house a 13MP sensor. It is flanked with a 48MP Oreo matrix triple camera setup at the back. The device sports a MediaTek Dimensity 800U along with a 5,000 mAh battery under the hood. The device is likely to have 161.96×77.25×9.20mm dimensions weighing 200g. This makes it quite a hefty phone to hold.

The Redmi Note 9 Pro device sports a larger 6.67” display with a 2400×1080 pixels resolution and a single punch-hole cut-out. Apart from that, the device arrives with a 240Hz touch sampling and a faster 120Hz refresh rate. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G. A 108MP HM2 CMOS sensor makes it a primary sensor at the rear along with a 16MP front camera. A 4,820 mAh battery takes quite a large place with a 33W fast charging tech under the hood.

Note that the specs aren’t yet confirmed. Thus, Redmi fans will have to wait until the November 26 launch event to know more about it.
