Flipkart Introduces ‘Launchpad’ Internship Program for Students in Supply Chain Ahead of the Festive Season

Flipkart has announced its internship program called Launchpad for students in the supply chain ahead of the upcoming festive season. This company has unveiled this internship program for UG students from tier-II cities and beyond where the company will offer them a chance to work in supply chain. Flipkart says the program is aimed at helping students gain critical skills in supply chain, and create an ecosystem of trained workmen for the e-comm. industry.

Launchpad, a paid internship program from Flipkart is designed for students to introduce them to the supply chain. It will help them understand the various processes involved in the e-comm. sector. Flipkart says the program will help create an ecosystem of well-trained, well-qualified, and skilled professionals in India’s future workforce.

Flipkart said that it is working with multiple educational institutes across 21 locations in India. These include Binola in Haryana, Bhiwandi ( Maharashtra), Uluberia & Dankuni in West Bengal, and many more. The company will identify and select the students and engage them at its fulfillment centers. The news comes just ahead of the upcoming festive season, and Flipkart has plans to extend it up to The Big Billion Days. The company says that it wants to offer the students an insight into the e-commerce ops during the festive season.

During the internship, Flipkart will train students in various aspects of supply chain management while following the COVID-19 health protocols. It includes maintaining social distancing while at work, mandatory thermal screening, and use of Aarogya Setu at all times.

More About Flipkart Launchpad

Launchpad is a paid program that was launched last year by Flipkart during The Big Billion Days sale. Over 2,000 students went through the program from across the country to learn supply chain management and other skills. This program is one among many other initiatives from Flipkart. The internship helps students learn about supply chain roles, gain experience, and build long-term resiliency and agility in their operations.

Amit Jha, Senior Vice President of Flipkart, said that the internship program worked towards the overall development of students. “We are confident of providing an engaging and immersive working experience to our interns during the upcoming festive season,” said Jha in a statement.
