New Valorant Agent: Everything We Know About Skye

New Valorant agent Skye

As players gear up for the Valorant Act 3, Riot Games has announced a new Valorant agent. It will be the thirteenth agent to be added to the popular tactical shooter. The new agent is set to be Skye, a versatile Australian character who can manage anything from scouting to attack and backup.

The addition comes a couple of months after Riot released Killjoy as the twelfth Valorant agent. While Killjoy was a tech expert, Skye will command beasts in the game as part of her abilities. Here is the official reveal trailer of Skye by Riot Games.

What to expect from the new Valorant agent?

Skye is set to be a character with a wide range of skill-sets. She can heal teammates as a supporting character, or damage enemies from afar. Her abilities also enable her to make the enemies nearsighted, leaving opponents briefly vulnerable. This wide range of possibilities with the Australian character makes her an interesting character to keep an eye on.

Riot Games hasn’t revealed a list of abilities for the upcoming agent. However, the trailer showcases her abilities in action. Further, the trailer proceeds to expand on the lore of Valorant. The reveal has left people anticipating the release of Skye so that they can try the character themselves. However, while Skye is being added to the game in the same manner as Killjoy, the same can’t be said about their timelines.

Killjoy was announced on August 2nd, before being added to the game on August 4th. However, Skye is set to join the game on October 27th, over two weeks from the announcement. The upcoming update scheduled for October 13 aims to introduce the Act 3 in Valorant. Hence, players will have to wait before they can use Skye in the game.

It’ll be another fantastic processor for gaming, and we’re excited to disclose more details in the near future,” revealed Intel VP John Bonini.

However, Intel kept its cards close to its chest. No major details regarding the CPU or its architecture have been revealed to the public. When queried about the upcoming CPUs, Intel said that further details will be released soon. The reveal of AMD’s Ryzen 4000 series is expected tomorrow. Hence, it remains to be seen which CPU will woo tech enthusiasts more.

Samsung to discontinue some of Bixby’s Augmented Reality (AR) features. The features that will not be supported include Places, Makeup, Home Decor, and Styling.

These AR features are part of the Bixby vision which makes use of the smartphone’s camera.

The Places feature in Bixby Vision made use of the camera to highlight local landmarks, restaurants, and stores. The makeup feature was like Snapchat filters used for cosmetic purposes, like putting on virtual lipstick, blush, eye shadow, etc,. Home Decor used to provide virtual furniture like sofa, chair, and other appliances that could be placed in a home, and last, the Styling feature offered virtual sunglasses to try on.

However, Samsung is not putting an end to all of Bixby’s AR capabilities. Certain AR features like translations, quick reader, and scene-describing accessibility will still exist as of now.

Moreover, Samsung users are seeing this message appearing on the screen when they attempt to make use of Bixby Vision.

More about Bixby

Talking about the history of Bixby, Samsung introduced its very own voice assistant back in 2017 along with the launch of Samsung Galaxy S8.

Besides that, Bixby has always been a close competitor of other voice assistants like Google Assistant, Apple’s Siri, Microsoft Cortana, and many more to count.

It’s not a smart step as other competitor voice assistants are improving day by day. For instance, Google Assistant is the most loved voice assistant in Android OS, which can do pretty much anything.

Apart from that, Samsung has made tremendous efforts to replace Google Assistant over the past years. Samsung even provided an integrated button to Bixby summon it.

According to the reports, more of Google services will replace Samsung’s services, and in future Bixby even might get ceased from all the Samsung devices.

Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL Set to Stop Being Supported

Google Pixel Filter

The October update for the Pixel line of smartphones will be the last update in which Google aims to fix functionality issues in Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL. Launched in October 2017, the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL have now approached the end of their lifecycle.

Google Pixel 2

As per Google’s support policy regarding Pixel smartphones, Pixel devices are supported for three years since launch. Based on these guidelines, updates would have discontinued after this month. However, Google aims to provide one last security update to the devices in December.

Final Google Pixel 2 update set for December

The latest October patch was released for both Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL. However, the update didn’t contain any security fixes focussed specifically on these devices. The majority of the latest update was identical to the general Android security patches scheduled for October 2020. This update came after both devices received the Android 11 major updates back in September.

However, this update did fix some issues which were present in the entire Pixel lineup – from Pixel 2 to the new Pixel 4a. The bugs fixed by the October update fixed a boot loop situation on Pixel. Further, glitches that hid call notifications and the autorotate symbol were addressed. Finally, the patch removed the issue of unrecognized swipe gestures on Pixel devices.

Based on a report from Android Police, Google will release one last security patch for both the devices in December. The final update aims to eliminate critical security vulnerabilities in both Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XLdevices. Due to this, the devices won’t receive any updates in November. Once the December critical fixes finish, Google will officially end all support for Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL.

8 Best Trail Cameras – Your Best Companion for Recording Wildlife

best trail cameras

Trail cameras are popular among homeowners who use them as security cameras or for recording wildlife movement. Having a trail camera is especially useful to people who have a real widespread lawn ahead or do not live in the typical localities.

The logic is simple; the vaster the expanse, the higher the chances of “raccoons” or “Coyotes” terrorizing you. In addition to this, if you are a wilderness explorer, the kind of quality that you would get at night time, it would be tough to get the same from usual cameras.

Now, you wouldn’t want to get a shabby picture while on a wildlife camp, nor would you want that the images of your farmland are unclear enough so that you find it hard to deduce the troubling animal! Hence, investing in a good trail camera makes absolute sense!

Conclusion

Hunting and wildlife mapping are some of the things which border on luxury. When it comes to looking after your farm and ensuring safe housekeeping, it becomes more of a necessity. However, there is one thing that remains common for both, and that is the quality of output received at the end of the entire activity.

Needless to say that a trail camera goes a long way in ensuring that. As someone who happens to be a consumer themselves, we had always seen the kind of confusion that arose when it came to picking “the best” trail camera. We have tried to answer that specific concern through detailed research encompassing the user reviews, the brand value, the pricing, and of course, first-hand experience.

Hope this one helped!
