Online classes have seen a sharp rise during this COVID-19 pandemic, and Google Meet is one such platform aiding educators to host ‘classes’ online. Huge online classes may overwhelm both teachers and the students, especially when the students need to interact with each other. Now Google has solved this problem. Google has rolled out a new feature called “breakout rooms” on Google Meet. This feature will allow the teachers to divide participants/students into smaller groups during the video call.
According to Google, the breakout rooms feature is currently available to its Enterprise for Education customers only. However, it says that this feature will be made available on other Google Workplace editions to more users later this year.
More About Google Meet Breakout Rooms
As per Google, the feature that allowed the call creator to group people into smaller rooms “was highly requested” by its users. The grouping of participants and putting them into smaller rooms could increase engagement by allowing them to make simultaneous small group discussions. Google has finally listened to the users’ demand and has launched the feature called breakout rooms. This feature allows the call creators or educators to make up to 100 breakout rooms discussions in the call. By default, it’ll distribute the participants randomly and evenly across various breakout rooms. However, the video call organizer can manually move the participants into different discussion rooms if he wishes.
The participants can hold discussions in the smaller groups and can then ‘easily’ rejoin the original meeting. Earlier this year, Google made the Meet video calling service free to everyone having a Gmail account. In June, the tech giant brought the service to the Gmail app on Android and iOS and added a new Meet tab to the Gmail app. The feature of breakout room creation is currently available on the web only but, anyone with a Gmail account can join.

Nevertheless, they’ll be available to buy directly from November 25, 2020, from Best Buy and Amazon. In the UK, the wireless earbuds will be available on Harrods and Selfridges.

Earlier this week, Google released an update for the Chrome browser with added security features for both Android and iPhones. The new update to Google Chrome comes with version 86 of the browser from the tech giant. Now, Google Chrome running on your Android and iPhone smartphones can check whether your passwords have been hacked.
Previously, this feature worked on personal computers only but, the company has now extended this for both Android devices and Apple’s smartphones. The feature works when you use Google Chrome to store your passwords.
How Does This Feature Work
The password check feature that arrives in Chrome 86 first sends the login credentials, i.e., usernames, and passwords to Google servers. It then checks if the passwords have been compromised in known data breaches, and if so, it notifies you about that. However, Google cannot see your usernames and passwords but only checks them to see if they match the compromised ones.
Google’s Chrome dominates the web browser market. Other browsers like Opera, Samsung Internet, Brave, and Vivaldi, are also built with its open-source Chromium browser engine. The search giant has an outsized influence over the world-wide-web. It is moving as fast as possible to make the web a vibrant competitor to both Android and Apple’s iOS. But Apple and Google are known to be each other’s rivals and aggressive competitors. However, here both Google and Apple seem to have come along together to bring the new feature for their users to change passwords easily.
Enhanced Safe Browsing
Chrome for Android has a protection feature called “touch to fill” biometric authentication step that users need to go through before the browser auto-fillsyourcredentials into a website. Google has now added support for this protection on Chrome 86 on iOS too. The new update adds an option called “Enhanced Safe Browsing” to Android devices that protects you from phishing attacks, malware, and other dangerous sites.
If you enable the safe browsing feature on your chrome browser, when logged in, it will send your real-time browsing data to Google. It will protect you from various malicious things that could risk your privacy and security. When this feature is on, Google will also check for related security problems with Gmail and its other services.

As the one year anniversary of the popular CoD Mobile rolls around, the game’s developers have shared some of the fresh additions that the game is going to receive with the upcoming season 11 update. The confirmed upcoming features for the game involve a fresh map, new game mode and perks.
With the end of season 10, most details were kept secret by the developers. No test servers were set up for the season 11 updates, hence the community has no clues for what’s in store. When it comes to teasers and reveal trailers, we have barely received any major details. Activision released a montage covering their one year journey on mobile devices. You can watch the complete video here.
What to expect from CoD Mobile season 11?
In the buildup to season 11 and CoD Mobile’s one-year anniversary, devs have released minor teasers in form of replies to fan queries. There have been hints surrounding new weapons for the game. Activision also released a render featuring the return of the Halloween Standoff map for the game.
But the biggest reveal from the developers came in the form of season 11’s roadmap which appeared in-game. The roadmap reveals key details about the plans that CoD Mobile has for season 11. The biggest addition would be the new map, labeled King. After the addition of Gulag for season 9 and Pine for season 10, King joins the list of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare maps on the game.
There is a brand new game mode named Cranked coming to CoD Mobile. In this game mode, you play a Team Deathmatch where get a kill within 30 seconds else you explode. Each kills gives you bonus points. Finally, the roadmap confirmed the highly anticipated Advanced UAV scorestreak. The update is scheduled to release globally on October 14th at 5 PM PST.
Over time, YouTube has become a place for all sorts of advertisements and product reviews. As channels grow, they share their setups with audiences. The platform has also contributed massively to the rise of Amazon’s affiliate program. However, new developments suggest that Google might develop its popular video hosting site into a buzzing online marketplace.
The plan aims to transform YouTube’s catalog of videos into an interface where people can browse, explore and buy products. This will remove the step where people need to use a third-party website to explore and buy a product they found on YouTube. For its experiments, Google is working on integrating Shopify with the site.
What is Google doing with YouTube?
Recently, some YouTube creators are asked to use the site’s tools to tag and track the goods showcased in their videos. Later, this data will be shared with Google’s analytics and shopping tools. Google will use the data as part of its experiments on YouTube’s potential as an eCommerce alternative.
A YouTube spokesperson confirmed the experiment. The creators will exercise full control over the products that feature on their channel. The setting is currently under testing with a small number of channels. However, the company has refused to share any further details about the process.
This will involve Google integrating YouTube with Shopify. Based on Google’s test from last year, creators might be able to list up to twelve items for sale. This aims to add new sources of revenue for creators apart from the ads.
If successful, this model can take YouTube to a level where it directly competes with the likes of Amazon and Walmart. While the two established eCommerce giants have attempted exploring shop-able videos, they have never obtained success. Hence, it remains to be seen if YouTube can do what others failed at accomplishing.
Each Episode in Valorant comes in the form of three separate Acts. Each Act is an expansion to Valorant’s content and world. Valorant Act 3 is going to be the final Act in Episode 1 of the popular tactical shooter. With each Act, we see the game build upon the last with fresh updates, skins, characters and a brand new Battle Pass.
From the fifth map for the game to a new character, Riot Games plans to wrap up Episode 1 on a high. As we gear up for Act 3 to debut on October 13th, here are the freshest additions to the game which are on the way.
Everything that we know about Valorant Act 3
The biggest addition to the game as part of Valorant Act 3 is the fresh new map ‘Icebox’. As the name suggests, the map will feature an icy terrain for players to battle around. Like Act 2 brought the 13th Valorant Agent to the game, Act 3’s next major addition comes in the form of Valorant’s 14th Agent.
Named Skye, the character was revealed yesterday on Valorant’s official channels. First impressions suggest the character to be a support-type, but it has the versatility to play any role on the map. Finally, like every previous Act, Valorant Act 3 comes with a complete Battle Pass that players can complete.
The Battle Pass will cost players 1000 Valorant Points to buy the premium track. It provides the players access to three fresh skins in the game: Ruin, Jade and Surge. Like every game with a Battle Pass system, the premium track has additional rewards for your investment. These rewards include Player Cards, Gun Buddies, Sprays, Player Titles as well as Radianite Points. However, players can still complete just the free Battle Pass and receive their non-premium rewards.

The incident was being shared on Reddit forums when people noticed that Starlight Partner is an official subsidiary of MSI. This led to people complaining to the company’s official channels. Once the incident was widely reported, MSI was quick to issue an official apology. Here is the tweet released by MSI on the Starlit Partner/Ebay incident.
MSI apologizes for an “error”
Based on reports from PC Mag, the subsidiary managed to make around four sales for the RTX 3080 Gaming X Trio between $1,359-$1,399. On the other hand, between eight to eleven sales of the RTX 3090 Gaming X Trio were made at $2,599. For context, the RRP of the RTX 3080 Gaming X Trio is $759, while the RTX 3090 Gaming X Trio comes at $1,589.
MSI took immediate steps to rectify the mistake. Once Nvidia’s RTX 3080 and 3090 were released, they got sold out immediately. The revolutionary graphics cards received such a massive demand that even third-party developed editions cannot be bought at the moment. Hence, the incident brought massive flak to MSI. This incident made tech enthusiasts further riled up, with scalpers already auctioning their hoarded cards on eBay and other auctioning websites.
