Ahead of the global launch, Amazon listing revealed the details about the upcoming Xiaomi Redmi Note 9T. The renowned phone maker Xiaomi scheduled the official launch for this phone on January 8. However, Amazon Germany spoiled the beans about the specs and price of the phone before the launch’s official disclosure. Amazon immediately removed the listing; soon after this blunder leaked Redmi Note 9T details.
Official launch is about to happen
Xiaomi is planning to launch its brand new Redmi Note 9T phone on January 8, 2021, at 5:30 pm(IST). Even though Xiaomi has not officially revealed the prices yet, the upcoming Note 9T targets budget-minded customers. The customers have been waiting eagerly for the launch of this affordable 5Gmobile. The hype shot down when the key player among the online shopping websites, Amazon, leaked information about it before the launch. Amazon took all the customers by surprise when it listed the phone and gave away undisclosed information. Recently, the device was also spotted on Geekbench.

As per the leaked Redmi Note 9T details, the phone is speculated to be a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 9 5G, previously sold in China. The listing also made the specification details available to customers. It displayed that Redmi Note 9Tcomes with a MediaTekDimensity 800U chipset and a choice between 64GB and128GB of storage. Apart from these, the specs include a 6.53-inch FHD+punch-hole display, a decent 5,000mAh battery with 18W charging, a 48MP camera, and 4GB of RAM. The most awaited detail, the price of Redmi Note 9T, was€229.90 for the base variant, which is equivalent to USD 282. On the other hand, the 128GB version would be available at €269.90, equal to USD 330.
Amazon immediately removed the listings. However, if these leaked Redmi Note 9T details turn out to be accurate; Redmi Note 9T would become one of the most affordable 5G phone, competing with the likes of Realme7 5G and equivalents. One can also speculate that the device would end up becoming very popular given the solid specs at a surprisingly affordable price.
