Xiaomi unveiled the Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro flagship phones in February this year and the Mi 9 series in February last year. But now, a new post from a tipster claims that the company may announce the Mi 11 Series in early 2021, one month earlier than previous smartphones. Like the Mi 10 series, the Xiaomi Mi 11 series will also comprise of two handsets — the Xiaomi Mi 11 and Mi 11 Pro. It is expected that Xiaomi may make a formal announcement of this new smartphone series at Qualcomm Snapdragon Tech Summit 2020. This tech event will begin on December 1.
Another tipster on Weibo has also confirmed that the Chinese technology giant may bring its Mi 11 series in January 2021. This series is likely to be one of the first set of smartphones to run on Snapdragon 875 SoC, Qualcomm’s 2021 flagship chip. January will be a bumper month for launches as many other smartphones like Galaxy S21 and Oppo Reno 5 series will also arrive in this month.
Xiaomi Mi 11, Mi 11 Pro Specifications (Expected)
As usual, the new Xiaomi Mi 11 series will come with Qualcomm’s top-notch processor — the Snapdragon 875 SoC. The Mi 11 from the series will most likely feature a curved display and a triple rear-camera setup with a 108-megapixel primary sensor. Various reports claim that the phone will have support for up to 30x zoom. Another expected feature includes a fast-charging capacity with a 4,900mAh battery.
On the other hand, the Mi 11 Pro will feature a better display with a fast 120Hz refresh rate. This will also have a curved display but with a punch-hole cutout and QHD+ resolution. The processor will be the same as that in the Mi 11. In terms of optics, the Pro variant will flaunt the 4-in-1 pixel binning tech and a 50-megapixel primary camera. The others would include a 48-megapixel or 12-megapixel telephoto lens.
