Samsung has launched the Samsung W21 5G on November 4, 2020, which is similar to Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 in terms of specifications but features a more luxurious design. The phone is launched in China and costs CNY 19,999 (Rs. 2,23,741).

Samsung W21 comes in a single variant of 12GB RAM and 512GB internal storage. There is only one color option available for this phone that is Mystic Golden with vertical lines engraved on it. The phone comes with a flexible 7.6-inch QXGA AMOLED display having a resolution of 1768×2208 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. When folded it has a 6.23-inch HD+ Super AMOLED cover screen of 816×2260 resolution protected by Gorilla Glass Victus making it slightly bigger than Galaxy Z Fold 2.
Talking about the performance, Samsung W21 5G is powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ chipset paired with Adreno 650 GPU. Out of 8 cores, 1 core is clocked at 3.09GHz, 3 cores clocked at 2.4GHz, and the rest of the 4 cores clocked at 1.8GHz.
As far as the optics are concerned, the phone features a triple camera setup comprising a 12-megapixel primary camera, a 12-megapixel ultrawide lens, a 12-megapixel telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom and 10x digital zoom. On the front, it sports a 10-megapixel camera for taking selfies and video calls on the primary display as well as the cover display.
Other than that, the phone is backed by a 4500 mAh battery which supports 25W fast charging, 11W wireless charging, and wireless PowerShare. There is also a side-mounted fingerprint sensor instead of an in-display fingerprint sensor. Moreover, the phone is dual-sim, also providing eSIM SUPPORT.
Price and availability
Samsung W21 5G comes with a price tag of CNY 19,999 (Rs. 2,23,741) and will not release in India. The pre-booking has already started. The second round of the pre-booking will be on November 11, 2020, and the shipping will start from November 27, 2020.
