We saw many smartphone manufacturers release new phones in the recent past. POCO also had unveiled the POCO M2 Pro in India back in July. POCO is now ready to unveil and launch the stripped-down version of the POCO M2 Pro, the POCO M2, on September 8th in India. It has already been teasing the ‘key’ features of the device over the past few days. Apart from POCO M2, the company is also launching its new POCO X3 smartphone globally.
POCO M2 Specifications
Xiaomi’s POCO M2 may run the company’s latest Android skin, MIUI 12, based on Android 10. The phone will feature a Full HD+ display with a water-drop notch to house the selfie camera. Currently, we don’t have the details of the available storage options as there is no official word on this but, the phone is confirmed to come with a 6GB RAM. However, there is a possibility that POCO M2 may come with a 4GB RAM variant as well. Obviously, the phone will also have the usual connectivity features like dual SIM support, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi connectivity, and GPS.
As per the Flipkart listing, POCO M2 will feature a quad-camera setup. However, there is no information about the camera resolution as of now. Also, the company boasts a big battery with a capacity of 5,000mAh.
Expected Price & Availablity
In India, the base variant of the POCO M2 is expected to launch under ₹10,000. Other storage options/variants may have a different price tag. According to the company, POCO M2 is the most affordable phone in the 6GB RAM category.
POCO M2 will go on sale on Flipkart and is already available on the e-commerce website. The phone will go on sale following its launch on Tuesday.
In August, Realme also launched the Realme C15 in India. If the POCO M2 is made available for around ₹10,000, Realme C15 will be a big rival for the new offering from POCO.
