Tesla and the Dutch fast-charging company Fastned have opened the Germany’s largest fast-charging hub at the Ladepark Kreuz Hilden station. The two companies, along with Seed & Greet Bakery, opened the solar and wind-powered fast charging hub on the morning of October 8. The charging hub currently has a total of 28 charging stalls, out of which 20 are Tesla V3 Superchargers. The remaining eight are Fastned chargers. All the 28 fast-charging stalls are capable of charging speeds of up to 300kW. It adds up to 300km of range in just fifteen minutes.

The best thing is that the whole infrastructure is powered by energy from the sun and wind. Because the entire set-up is equipped with a large solar-panel roof, a large part of power comes from solar energy. This hub lies close to the city of Düsseldorf, Germany.
More Facilities at the Tesla-Fastned Charging Hub
The new fast-charging station in Dusseldorf has a coffee shop and bakery along with the charging stalls. These facilities add to the experience of charging an electric car, as now the electric car owners can grab food and quick coffee at the charging station itself. Though the station is similar to the ideal charging stations preferred by electric car owners, it has places to spend time and relax while charging the vehicle.

Fastned in a press release on Thursday morning said, “Today, fast charging company Fastned, Tesla and Seed & Greet open Ladepark Kreuz Hilden, Germany’s largest fast-charging hub.” The company further added, “On site, there is a café, a large Tesla Supercharger station, and a large Fastned charging station. At the Fastned station, 8 cars can charge simultaneously with up to 300 kW, allowing electric cars to add up to 300 km of range in just 15 minutes.“
Tesla is currently working on completing its production plant called Giga Berlin in Brandenburg, Germany. It is expected to produce around half a million Tesla cars a year in Europe. It will increase the demand for charging stations in the coming time with the rising popularity of EVs in Europe. Fastned is working with Tesla, the world’s largest electric car maker, in this expansion process.
