Samsung Launches Two World’s First All-in-one Monitors

Samsung has announced two world’s first ‘Do-It-All’ monitors that support mobile and PC connectivity. The smart monitors are available in two variants, namely M5 and M7.

Samsung Smart Monitor M5 and M7 specifications

Samsung smart monitor M5 is available in two sizes, 32-inch and 27-inch. The M5 features a full HD (1,920 x 1,080 pixels) resolution display in both size options.  On the contrary, the M7 sports an ultra-high-definition (UHD) (3,840 x 2,160 pixels) resolution display. However, this smart monitor is only available in a 32-inch size. The M7 also has one USB Type-C port for 65W fast charging and quick data transfer. Not only that, but it also has three USB 2.0 ports, unlike M5, which have only two USB 2.0 ports.

Also, both the smart monitor sports a 60Hz refresh rate and 16:9 aspect ratio.

Apart from that, both the smart monitors run on Samsung’s own Tizen OS 5.5, have dual 5W built-in speakers, HDR10 standard support, two HDMI 2.0 ports, and VESA wall mounting (100mm x 100mm).

For connectivity, both the smart monitors offer Bluetooth 4.2 and Wi-Fi 5 connectivity. To connect smartphone devices to the smart monitors, it can be done using Tap View, App Casting, and Apple AirPlay 2. And for the desktop experience using a smartphone, that’s when Samsung DeX comes to the rescue.

Users can also make use of Netflix, Prime, YouTube, Apple TV, and other entertainment services without a smartphone. There is also Alexa and Bixby 2.0 voice assistant support. There is also Microsoft Office 365 support that allows remote access to all the documents on PC somewhere else.

The smart monitor has an Ultrawide Game View that adjusts screen resolution to 21:9.

The 27-inch variant of Smart Monitor M5 is priced at $230. Whereas, the 32-inch variant is priced at $280. On the other hand, the Smart monitor M7 is priced on the higher side and comes with a price tag of $400.

Both the smart monitors will be available in Canada, China, and the US only as of now. However, Samsung plans to expand the sale at a global level in the coming time.
