OnePlus just added a new device to its flagship smartphone portfolio in a recent launch event. The company launched its latest flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 8T, featuring an ultra-smooth 120Hz refresh rate fluid display. OnePlus 8T is a major upgrade to the regular OnePlus 8 series in terms of display, processor, charging, optics, and others. The smartphone offers an overall package of powerful hardware and a smooth experience, says the phone maker.
OnePlus 8T comes with major developments in display and charging. The phone features an AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz as opposed to the 90Hz in OnePlus 8. It also comes with an upgraded 65W fast charging, a big improvement from the regular OnePlus 8’s 30W charging support.
OnePlus 8T Features and Specifications
OnePlus 8T features a big 6.55-inch full HD+ Fluid AMOLED display with an aspect ratio of 20:9, 120Hz refresh rate, and pixel density of 402ppi. It is powered by the premier Snapdragon 865 SoC processor, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and the Adreno 650 GPU. The device runs OnePlus’ custom skin, OxygenOS 11 based on Android 11. And therefore it becomes the first OnePlus smartphone to come with the latest version of available software.
Speaking of connectivity, the OnePlus 8T comes with various options that include 5G, 4G, Bluetooth 5.1, dual-band Wi-Fi, USB Type-C charging port, and more. The phone packs a 4500mAh battery with support for 65W fast charge, called Warp Charge 65. According to the company, the battery can be charged from 0 to 58 percent in just 15 minutes and complete 100 percent in a record time of 39 minutes.
In terms of optics, the OnePlus 8T features a 48-megapixel primary sensor in a quad rear camera setup. The other three cameras include a 16MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 5MP macro sensor, and a 2MP monochrome sensor. At the front, the phone carries a 16-megapixel selfie camera, placed in a hole-punch cut out in the screen at the top left corner of the display.
Pricing and Availability
The OnePlus 8T comes in two storage options: the 8GB + 128GB variant and the 12GB + 256GB variant. The 8GB + 128GB storage option is priced at ₹42,999 in India and the other variant, i.e., 12GB + 256GB OnePlus 8T is tagged ₹45,999. Also, the first model comes in two color options of Lunar Silver and Aquamarine Green. However, the other phone will be available in only one color option — Aquamarine Green.
