Call of Duty: Warzone has experienced a severe glitch that prompted developers Infinity Ward to remove all vehicles from the game briefly. The glitch reportedly crashes the game’s servers when a vehicle is taken to a specific point in the map. It would cause the match to end abruptly as all the players get kicked out of the server.
In response to the glitch, Infinity Ward announced an update that will “remove all vehicles from Warzone” on all platforms. However, no timeline is set for the return of any vehicle to the game. Here is the original announcement tweet.
Infinity Ward received a lot of flak for the glitch. The bug in question didn’t provide a player any advantage but made playing the game frustrating for all players. Many accomplished players in the Warzone community had their say about the glitch without showing how to execute it. Popular YouTuber Dr. Disrespect said he actually liked the game in absence of vehicles.
More issues with Warzone
It comes after another frustrating bug in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone. This earlier bug would turn a player’s weapon into a black cube. This, in turn, would make it impossible to see your opponents or enjoy the game in general.
Since its release in March 2020, Warzone has received a mixed opinion from the fanbase. The players have massively appreciated the gameplay mechanics and Warzone’s role in the lore of the Call of Duty franchise. However, long-running glitches and in-game bugs despite huge updates have disappointed the fanbase.
While the removal of vehicles will affect the gameplay, this shouldn’t be a lasting issue. With Warzone set to be a part of the upcoming title Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, these issues should be solved soon.
