Sony’s PS 5 is creating a buzz right now after Sony revealed a few details about the PlayStation 5. The company has said the console is approximately 100 times faster than the PS4. PS4 was launched in 2013 and is its current product in the gaming market. According to Sony, the PS5 can process data 100 times faster than PS4. This is because of the adoption of high-speed SSD for storage.
Sony shared a document in which the company said, “through a custom‐designed high‐speed SSD, we plan to realize game data processing speeds that are approximately 100 times faster than PS4″. The technology has considerably improved since the launch of PlayStation4 seven years ago. Sony’s PS5 has a much-advanced CPU and GPU along with more memory, and the high-speed SSD makes it stand out. According to the official specifications, the new SSD works at the speed of 8GB/s.
Epic Games CEO Praised the PS5 SSD
According to a report in GizChina, Tim Sweeney, the executive of EpicGames has praised the SSD of the PlayStation5. He said that the 825GB-sized SSD is the best among all platforms and far beyond the technology found in current PCs.
When Will Sony Reveal PS5
There are rumors that Sony is preparing for an online reveal for the PS5. According to the rumors, the company may reveal the PlayStation 5 in June. However there is no official confirmation from Sony regarding this event. We still need to wait until Sony breaks its silence and gives a nod to the ongoing rumors. But if the coming reports are true then the PS5 may be seen soon, as the month is only a few days away. On the other side there are reports that the new Xbox Series X will also have a dedicated event in June.
