Activision’s Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is scheduled to release next month. In the buildup to this highly anticipated release, Activision has announced Cold War open beta gameplay sessions for fans of the popular series. This means that if you were awaiting eagerly to the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, you can get a taste of the gameplay in advance.
The open beta will begin as a PS4 exclusive event. After that, it will shift to crossplay where PC and Xbox players can play the game against PS4 players.
Everything about the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Open Beta
The first people who will get to experience Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War can get their hands to play the game as early as October 8th. This gameplay window will be open to PS4 owners who bought the game on a pre-order. Starting October 10, we will have the PS4 Open Beta event for the game. This event will last over the weekend, before concluding on October 12.
The second weekend of the early gameplay will begin on October 15th. This will allow players eligible for Xbox and PC early access to play the game against PS4 open beta players. Finally, on October 17th, the game will have an open beta crossplay window across all platforms. The scheduled window will close on October 19th.
When it comes to the game modes available during the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War open beta, Activision revealed five features for the beta. These will be Team Deathmatch, Kill Confirmed, Domination, VIP Escort and Combined Arms. The lineup is almost identical to the game modes which were released earlier as part of the alpha testing program.
