It won’t be a stretch to claim that Mario is the single most defining Nintendo Character. Over the 39 years since its creation, the character has appeared in games across multiple genres. Now the iconic plumber is set to make another appearance in Nintendo’s Super Mario 3D All Stars.

It is a Nintendo Switch exclusive, set to launch worldwide on September 18th, 2020. Super Mario 3D All Stars will include three 3D classic Mario titles, which initially released three separate Nintendo consoles. The three games are Super Mario 64, Super Mario Galaxy, and Super Mario Sunshine.

These are three of the best selling Mario titles in the history of the franchise. Super Mario 64 sold nearly 12 million copies on the Nintendo 64 console.

On the other hand, Super Mario Sunshine recorded over 6 million sales on the Nintendo GameCube. However, both games were surpassed by Super Mario Galaxy, which sold almost 13 million copies on the Nintendo Wii.

What’s new in Super Mario 3D All Stars?

All three games, as part of this bundle, have received upgrades to their graphics. Further, Super Mario Sunshine will feature support for 16:9 resolution. Also, Super Mario Galaxy controls received optimizations for Switch. It allows the player to use the two Joy-Cons to perform actions that required the Wii remote in the initial release.

An interesting detail about this release is that Nintendo has announced it as a limited edition. The physical copies of the title will reach stores in limited quantities. However, Switch owners can buy digital copies of the game through the Nintendo eShop till March 2021.

Following the usual trend for Nintendo games, this bundle of classics will only release as a standard edition title. No preorder perks or special-edition titles have been announced by Nintendo yet. However, if any future announcements arise, they will be updated here.

Super Mario 3D All Stars is now up for preorder here for $59.99 on the official Nintendo website.

Microsoft Edge Canary is the tech giant’s answer to Google’s Chrome and Mozilla’s Firefox on Windows. Chrome holds over 69% of the userbase for Windows web browsers. It has prompted Microsoft to develop incentives to get Chrome users on Edge Canary.

One such feature is web capture, which allows users to capture and share parts of a web page effortlessly. Currently, this feature is only available to users registered as testers for Microsoft Edge Canary on Windows. You can download the browser here to get the latest updates to Microsoft Edge every night.

This feature was initially noticed by Aggiornamenti Lumia on Twitter, who shared a video that depicts this feature in action. Here is the original tweet.

While the feature was a core part of the legacy Edge browser, it was not available on the new Chromium-based Microsoft Edge. Users can access the feature through the ellipsis menu in on the top right of their Edge Canary window. While this feature is available only for testing right now, it should see a full release for Microsoft Edge users soon.

More updates for Microsoft Edge Canary

There are reports suggesting support for the ability to annotate the web captures. Later, users can easily share these with friends and colleagues or store them on their computers. This feature isn’t available to the users yet. But users would appreciate the inclusion of this feature to Microsoft Edge.

Among other updates to the browser, Microsoft added the ability to delete a downloaded file through the Downloads shelf. Users have an option to show or hide the Favorites bar from the Favorites management page.

The user will now receive more alerts when Password Monitor detects a compromised password. The development team enabled support for Default Sensors Setting, Sensors Allowed For URLs, and Sensors Blocked For URLs management policies from Chromium, among other bug fixes.

Fortnite Players Give In-Game Tribute to Black Panther

Panther's Prowl in Fortnite

The world mourns the loss of a brilliant actor and public figure Chadwick Boseman. The actor lost a four year battle to colon cancer at the age of 43. Chadwick received a special tribute by Fortnite players across the world. Thousands of players arrived at the Black Panther statue, added as part of Season 4 map updates, during matches.

The Black Panther statue, known as ‘Panther’s Prowl’, is a new landmark on Fortnite. Floating mid-air, the statue is located near Misty Meadows. It is part of season 4’s Marvel-themed locations on the map like the Doctor Dooms’ Domain.

The addition comes to the map after the demise of Chadwick Boseman, who played the iconic character in the MCU. However, Epic stated that the statue wasn’t released in response to the actor’s passing.

The landmark has multiple loot drops and chest spawns. Usually, locations like these are a hotbed among players farming for loot. However, players arriving at this location are refusing to battle in honor of their fallen hero.

Instead, players would show up at the location and take a knee by crouching. With challenges surrounding the landmark expected soon, this wholesome moment was widely shared here across Reddit.

Soon, the FortniteBR subreddit had players calling for a ‘Wakanda Forever’ emote in honor of the Wakandan King. Other players expressed their desire for the monument to be a permanent feature on the map, which evolves further as a point of interest.

More Black Panther themed content coming

Fortnite fans were excited by a leak surrounding the potential arrival of a Black Panther skin in the popular game. HypeX, a popular figure in the niche of Fortnite leaks, has confirmed that their team has found files for the Black Panther suit’s signature kinetic absorption powers.

It means that soon players might be able to absorb damage from the hits they take. Later, they can unleash the stored energy on their opponents, similar to the MCU superhero. It would be a welcome addition for the players, who already get to use Doctor Doom’s unique weapons. More updates like this are expected as part of Fortnite’s season 4 partnership with Marvel.

While Apple is known for being somewhat allergic to Android users, Google’s services work well on iPhones. It gives you the possibility of grabbing contacts from their servers too. Before beginning this process, you should know that this method works only if you had already synced your contacts on Android with your Gmail account. If you don’t know whether your contacts are synced with your Google account or not, turn on sync in your device’s settings. After turning the sync on, manually sync your contacts.

Now unlock your iPhone and then go to Settings > Passwords and Accounts (Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendar on older devices). Turn on the Contacts checker and enter your Gmail account. Your iPhone will now automatically receive all the contacts within a few minutes.

Use the Move to iOS App

It is a simple way to transfer your contacts from an Android device to an iOS device. If you don’t have too many contacts on your phone, this is the simplest way to do your job. This method will be handy if you’re having issues with your Google account or are offline.

Follow these steps to transfer contacts using your nano-SIM card:

1. First, open the Contacts app on your android smartphone and tap the menu (three dots) button.

Samsung Begins Mass Production of 16Gb LPDDR5 DRAM Chip Using EUV Technology

Samsung Begins Mass Production of 16Gb LPDDR5 DRAM Using Extreme Ultraviolet Technology

While the world’s smartphone businesses may have contracted since the coronavirus outbreak, the chip business of Samsung is booming as usual. The South Korean electronics company has begun the mass production of what it calls “the industry’s first 16-gigabit LPDDR5 DRAM” in its second production line in Pyeongtaek, Korea. Samsung is using the extreme ultraviolet technology in the production of the new 16Gb LPDDR5 chip. This chip would enable more customers to enjoy the full benefits of 5G in the 2021 5G smartphones.

The new chip is based on the third-generation 10nm-class (1z) process of Samsung. According to Samsung, the 16Gb LPDDR5 chip offers the largest capacity and highest speed available in mobile DRAM. Jung-bae Lee, executive vice president of DRAM Product & Technology at Samsung, said that the company would continue to expand its premium DRAM lineup.

Expansion of Manufacturing Capacity in Pyeongtaek Complex

Apart from manufacturing the new chip, the company has also announced to expand its manufacturing capacity in Korea. The Pyeongtaek Line 2 that spans more than 128,900 square meters, equivalent to about 16 soccer fields, is the largest-scale production line, claims Samsung.

The company says the new Pyeongtaek line will serve as the key manufacturing hub for the most advanced semiconductor technologies.

The new 16Gb LPDDR5 DRAM is the first memory chip to be mass-produced using extreme ultraviolet technology. It will provide the largest capacity and highest speed in mobile DRAM to date. With the data transfer speed of 6,400Mb/s, the new 16Gb DRAM is about 16 percent faster than the earlier 12Gb LPDDR5 chip with 5,500Mb/s speed. It can transfer 51.2GB of data in just one second. The new chip is also 30 percent thinner than the previous 12Gb chip.

Samsung plans to deliver its first 1z-based 16GB chips to global smartphone makers to dominate the 2021 flagship smartphone market. The company also said that it would expand the use of its LPDDR5 chips into automotive applications too.

The dream of flying over the city like one would drive the streets may become a reality soon. Japan’s SkyDrive Inc. has successfully tested a battery-powered flying car in Japan. It is for the first time that the startup successfully managed to make the vehicle stay above the ground for quite some time with one person aboard. Expectations are that the company will start its services for the public in 2023. The test clearly demonstrates the technological abilities of Japan in the auto industry. However, the firm still needs to work on improving its technology and overcome many hurdles. The company already envisions to have drone-like vehicles driving on the city streets by 2030 for everyday commuting.

Japan Flying Car Flight Duration and Height?

In a YouTube video from Bloomberg, the flying car looks like a slick motorcycle with propellers attached on its sides. The vehicle lifted about 2 meters off the ground and hovered around slowly for four minutes. The company did the test in a netted area, probably to prevent unforeseen damages if the test failed. Tomohiro Fukuzawa, the head of SkyDrive, said that they could make the flying car a real-life product by 2023. At the same time, he pointed out the importance of safety too.

Currently, the flying car is capable of flying for only a few minutes. The machine does not last for more than 10 minutes in the air. Fakuzawa said if they can increase the flight time to 30 minutes, they will start exporting the machine to places like China.

Scope of Flying Cars

The best thing about the flying cars is that they can offer quick point-to-point personal travel. If this mode of transport becomes a reality, it will take away the hassle of airports and traffic jams. Also, it’d greatly help in reducing air pollution because of the complete reliance on batteries.

There are still many challenges that the company needs to address before the technology can be commercialized. Things like challenges in the battery size, air traffic control, and issues in other infrastructure need to be addressed first.

The project was initially started as a volunteer project in 2012 and was called Cartivator. The funding was then provided by companies like Toyota and Panasonic.
