Best Prebuilt Gaming PC Under $1000: Budget Gaming Made Possible

There are advantages and disadvantages of both prebuilt gaming PCs and creating your own. Which method you choose depends entirely on your preferences and the resources available to you. This article is made for the former, who want to save time and effort and get a great Prebuilt Gaming PC under $1000. Let’s get started.

What To Choose: Prebuilt Or DIY?

DIY PC

Building your own gaming PC will save you money as you will be able to purchase and select components according to budget. You will also get the satisfaction of watching your very own gaming PC power up for the first time. When building a gaming PC at home you’ll need technical knowledge and experience. You will also need time and effort since the entire process of searching for and selecting components can take a while. PC builders and computer experts will tell you that building a gaming PC for yourself is far more cost-effective and satisfying than buying a prebuilt gaming system. And they’re mostly right. Buying each individual component will be more cost-effective, at times saving you several hundred bucks. It is also satisfying to power up the computer after a few hours of assembly and watch it slay.

Prebuilt PC

For those who don’t have the adequate technical knowledge or enough time on their hands, buying a prebuilt gaming PC is the best way to go. There is quite a large range of gaming PCs in the market and we’ve got together a solid list of ones under $1000. Opting to buy a prebuilt gaming PC instead of creating one has many perks. You don’t have to do extensive research to decide which components you need, and you don’t have to spend several hours trying to assemble it all together. For anyone buying a prebuilt gaming PC under $1000, the challenge is to get the best possible system for gaming you can.

Although HP doesn’t specialize in gaming products even after being a well-established brand, its Pavilion Gaming PC has impressed us. This is an affordable pre-assembled PC, exhibiting specs that are way beyond its price tag. The HP Pavilion Gaming PC gives great performance with the Intel Core i5-9400F and Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti. The GPU is one of the best mid-range ones available today and combined with the i5 CPU, this gaming PC shows some solid visual results.

The 16 GB DDR4 RAM along with a 256 GB SSD and 1 TB HDD combo provide ample storage space for a gamer’s basic needs. These specs make sure the PC is equipped with an appropriate balance between storage and performance. Plus, you can easily upgrade storage space in the future in case you require more. The HP Pavilion Gaming PC displays some beautiful bright green light accents with overall attractive casing. There are plenty of connectors on the front panel but we wish it had RGB though. The HP Pavilion offers quite the bargain. It gives really great performance at an entirely reasonable price – perfect for the aspiring gamer on a tight budget.

REASONS TO BUY:

  • Brand value and support
  • Great overall specifications
  • Available for less in sales quite often
  • Bundled with Free mouse and keyboard
  • CD drive

REASONS TO AVOID:

  • No RGB can be a bummer for many
  • The case is compact and might hamper some future expansions

2. iBUYPOWER Pro 136A (Best Gaming Performance)

Processor (GPU): AMD Ryzen 5 3600 (6-core) | Graphic Card (GPU): NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 6GB | RAM: 16GB 3000MHz DDR4Storage: : 240GB Solid-state drive (SSD) + 1TB Hard disk drive (HDD) | RGB: Yes

So with this PC, which uses a Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060, you have one of the newer generation RTX cards that are not available in either of the options we could find at this price range. This will easily maintain 144FPS at 1080p. Paired with the GPU is a strong CPU, the Ryzen 5 3600. This CPU will more than keep up with the GPU and should last for years thanks to its 6c/12t set-up. The RAM is decently fast at 3000MHz and the storage combo will also be plenty speedy, meaning you have an overall solid rig with great core components.

At almost exactly $1000, this rig fits perfectly into our budget limit. Keep an eye out for sales as this goes out of stock really quick due to the RTX2060 specification. If you want the best gaming performance in a prebuilt Gaming PC, this is the one to go for. You can upgrade the components later down the road but this PC should probably last people very long before needing to do that. The only main downside could be if you want a better-looking case with more RGB. Apart from that, this build just leaves everything else behind.

REASONS TO BUY:

  • RTX2060 at this price is phenomenal
  • Great performance with the CPU+GPU combination
  • Value for money
  • Minimalist casing
  • Free Lifetime US Tech Support (1 Year for parts and labour)
  • Free mouse and keyboard

REASONS TO AVOID:

  • If you want a better-looking glass case
  • 8 core CPU paired with the RTX series card would be better
  • RGB is minimal but can be upgraded down the road

3. iBUYPOWER Element 9260 Gaming PC (Strongest CPU Performance)

Processor (GPU): Intel Core i7-9700F(8-core) | Graphic Card (GPU): Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti 6GB GDDR6 | RAM: 16GB DDR4 2666MHz | Storage: 240GB Solid-state drive (SSD) + 1TB Hard disk drive (HDD) | RGB: Yes

Intel still holds an edge for gaming PC’s thanks to its superior single-core performance, which games still rely on more than multi-threading ability. For a pure gaming machine, like we are looking at here, the Intel options should be more than enough to power 144FPS at 1080p. And to do that, we recommend a rig from another of the biggest pre-built producers, the iBuyPower Element 9260. The Element 9260 uses the 8c/8t 9700F, an interesting CPU that does away with the integrated graphics seen in most Intel processors. The 9700F is a locked CPU, meaning it is not able to overclock, but for someone buying a pre-built machine, we tend to see this as an advantage (due to its lower pricing) rather than a disadvantage.

The other components, such as a 240GB SSD and 1TB HDD will provide plenty of storage, while the 16GB of 2666MHz RAM will be more than plenty. Finally, the GPU is an Nvidia GTX 1660 Ti. To round it all out, the machine comes with plenty of RGB, an ASUS TUF motherboard in most cases for good reliability (or a similar equivalent), and a nice case with a big window. If you prefer the aesthetics of this one and want the maximum Intel-based performance, go with your gut and know you are still getting a lot of PC for the price. Overall, we’d have to say the iBUYPOWER Elite is one of the top prebuilt gaming PCs on our list. Its awe-inspiring specs are nowhere near what you’d expect from this price tag.

REASONS TO BUY:

  • Value for money
  • One of the best performing prebuilt machines here
  • Free Gaming keyboard and mouse
  • RGB tempered glass case

REASONS TO AVOID:

  • RAM can need upgrading in some time
  • Our unit came with loose wires, but that was easy to fix.

We don’t think you will get a deal better than that anywhere in the whole market. So if the specs do not tell you how good this is, we went through tons of reviews from gamers and they all had nothing but praise for this gaming rig. They all said that this comparably cheap rig could handle games like Fortnite in high graphic settings without breaking a sweat. If you use the extra money you save from it on a liquid cooler for the CPU, you are set for the time being and would need to upgrade for a while.

The SkyTech Blaze II is equipped with the NVIDIA GTX 1660 6GB DDR5 Graphics Card, which is a fairly recent release by the Nvidia Company. With this card, you can run the latest game on almost medium to high settings and still get 50-60 FPS, easily.
