Best Laptops Under 30000 Rs in India: The Right Choice for the Budget Conscious

Buying a laptop is not easy. Ever since the choices and number of brands have increased, choosing the right option seems really tough to many. Moreover, the presence of a plethora of configurations makes it a tougher choice to make for those who are not aware of technicalities. A lot of people prefer not spending much on buying a laptop when it only has to serve them a basic purpose. For the exact same audience, we have made a list of the best laptops under 30000 in India that we think would best suit the masses who want such a machine. Without further delay, let’s get onto it.

What to Look for While Buying Laptops Under 30000?

The price segment under 30000 rupees is targeted towards buyers looking for economical options for getting through basic activities like browsing, office work and productivity. This segment mostly has laptops providing the bare minimum components which won’t be very fancy.

The truth is that most laptops in this price bracket come with similar configurations of screen size, build quality, performance, screen resolution, RAM, storage, etc. Ideally though, you should be looking for something that comes with Windows 10, a 720p HD display, at least 4GB RAM, and a budget-tier processorTHESE ARE THE MINIMUM SPECS WE CONSIDER IN OUR REVIEW. Even though we highly recommend getting a laptop with an SSD or a hybrid SSD+HDD spec configuration, only very few laptops have SSD’s in this range. Keep in mind that those will be much more responsive than the other laptops with HDDs.

The performance would be just okay for day to day tasks but you won’t be able to push your machine hard for multitasking, gaming or content creation. That’s not what this segment really is for. We omit to mention basics like build quality, display, and battery life as they are mostly the same amongst all laptops in this range. We will mention it specifically if they are extraordinary for any of the machines listed here.

We at AndroidFist do things differently. Each laptop we mention is either reviewed or tested by someone in our team personally, or contain information that has been sourced from accurate reviews, testing and user experiences, making this a real choice that we’d ourselves make if we were at your place. You can check for the specifications for each model here to suit your personal criteria and to buy the laptop that you feel is right for you as every option we mention is a worthy contender.

The ASUS Vivobook X411 is one of the only laptops in this segment to include a 512GB NVMe SSD and 8GB DDR4 RAM and a Full HD display. What it means for you is superfast boot times and great multitasking capabilities. What we mean is that it performs great, is snappy, and app-loading times are superb. How does it do all of that? Well, it comes with an AMD A12 processor that is great for all these lightweight tasks. It performs equal to its Intel and Ryzen counterparts and will only fall short if you are doing CPU intensive tasks for prolonged periods. This won’t affect most of the people buying a laptop in this segment so just go for it we’d say. It even features a fingerprint scanner and the battery charges up to 60% in just 49 minutes, making it one of the best laptops under 30000 that will last long enough for the casual user.

REASONS TO BUY:

  • 512GB SSD Storage
  • AMD A12 works out well in daily use
  • 8GB RAM is rare in this segment
  • Full HD display
  • Fingerprint Scanner Fast Charging

Most importantly, it even comes preloaded with MS Office and 1 year of McAfee Antivirus. This is great for people who don’t want to pay extra or take up the effort or sideloading Microsoft Office. • Much recent and capable 8th Gen i3 Processor

The Vivobook 15 looks very modern with thinner bezels than most budget laptops and comes in under ₹ 28,990 with sales and other offers. This makes it a compelling option for the majority of people. It does the basics right with one of the best keyboards and typing experience in class. It comes with a MicroSD card reader though instead of a standard one which might put off some people looking into this as a viable option. The laptop also supports Windows Hello via a fingerprint scanner which works well. However, we suggest investing in an SSD as that could really boost the performance of this machine as it only comes with a 1TB hard disk that was a tad bit slow.

REASONS TO BUY:

  • FHD display
  • Fingerprint Scanner
  • 8th Gen Intel i3 8145U one of the most powerful around
  • Has additional M.2 slot with NVMe support for expansion

REASONS TO AVOID:

This is the latest generation of Laptop processors from intel and can outperform any laptop on this list. Dell Vostro series laptops are known for their durability and storage and are quite popular amongst students and professionals. This laptop too comes with a fingerprint scanner within the power button and a 1TB hard drive. It suffers on the screen though as the screen is only 720p and has pretty bad vertical viewing angles. The laptop though comes with a VGA port even after being just 1.68 kilograms and that’s barely seen anymore now. Overall, this is one of the most powerful laptops under 30000 but we’ll suggest getting an SSD and RAM upgrade to unleash its full potential.

  • Fingerprint scanner
  • TPM module for security
  • Lightweight
  • Comes with a VGA display port

The Vivobook 14 is a compact and good looking laptop that weight just 1.6 Kilograms. It comes with a slightly old 7th generation Intel Core i3 processor but the 256GB SSD makes up for it. Moreover, the SSD is an NMVe one and provides an amazing wake-up and app boot up times along with general system stability and snappiness. • Fast charging
  • Compact modern design and Full HD display

Acer Aspire 3 is a great choice for people who are looking for a laptop with an SSD but with a low budget. The Aspire 3 brings in a 256 GB SSD under the hood at the cost of a low powered AMD A9 processor. This laptop is for people that just want a laptop for basic note-taking, web browsing, checking emails and doing simple tasks which don’t strain the internals. For all these simple tasks, this laptop is quite snappy and performs well. We got average battery life on one of the units we tested and for the price, you get great value and adequate performance with the included 256 gig drive. The touchpad is windows-precision driver based and the laptop looks modern with thin bezels. It is thus a great buy among laptops under 30000 for people who want to get an SSD-based laptop out of the box, with a minimal budget.

REASONS TO BUY:

  • Comes with a 256GB SSD at this price
  • Sleek and modern looking design

REASONS TO AVOID:

  • Highly outdated processor

8. HP 15

Model: di0006tu | Processor: Intel i3-8130U 8th Gen processor | RAM: 4GB DDR4 | Storage: 1TB 5400rpm HDD | Graphics: Intel UHD Graphics 620 | Display: 15.6-inch Full HD display | Weight: 1.77 Kg | Price: ₹ 29,500 – ₹ 31,990

HP is one of the oldest laptop manufacturers but they make an entry at the end in our list. This is because their design hasn’t changed drastically in a majority of their series and their displays for budget models have very low peak brightness and below-average viewing angles. Keeping that aside, the HP 15 still features an Intel 8th Gen i3 processor that is very capable but is bottlenecked by the accompanying 1TB HDD. The laptop though has a Full HD display which is rare even in HP’s higher priced models. Also, to our surprise, the laptop lasted us above 4.5 hours every time we checked its battery life and that’s quite reliable if you would be away from the plug point for long.

REASONS TO BUY:

  • 8th Gen Intel Core i3 processor is capable
  • Good and reliable battery life

REASONS TO AVOID:

  • Screen, even though Full HD is far below average
  • Old and bulky looking design
  • HDD really bottlenecks the CPU, making the laptop feel slow
